Our strategy for each client is informed by that particular client’s short – term and long – term objectives. Decisions on strategy are set and reviewed on a regular basis by a dedicated teamthat reviews macroeconomic events and trends as well as the relevant market dynamics.
Equities – We adopt a diversified strategy, distributing our allocations between value assets and market indices. Our aim is to ensure that portfolio exposure is finely balanced across sectors, regions and companies in accordance with our clients’ objectives and the changing market conditions. Our managers are assisted in their decisions by analysis from IBI’s chief economist and global markets strategist and complemented by extensive third party research from some of the top financial institutions globally.
Fixed income – Our asset allocation is based on a continuous review of macroeconomic trends, monetary policy and yield curve structure worldwide. Corporate bonds are subject to rigorous scrutiny by our research team who focus on the fundamental characteristics of each investment, and in particular the solvency of the issuer. Fixed income portfolios are also subject to regular monitoring using a range of qualitative and quantitative metrics. In addition to the economists and analysts who support the decision making process itself, clients can also learn more about fixed income investment by joining the IBI Fixed Income forum, which provides up-to-date and high-quality analysis of the companies in our coverage universe. An independent in-house function, the Fixed Income forum performs in-depth analyses to assess company solvency, thus enabling investors to steer clear of opportunities that do not offer a favorable risk/reward ratio and maximize their returns.
Alternative assets – Central to our approach and services is the view that clients partnering with us should have the broadest possible range of assets and instruments to choose from.
